Does anyone have a picture of, or an idiot's guide to removing artichoke suckers?

That's great, thanks! Was going to try it this afternoon but then read that it should be done in spring, so have bookmarked this article. :D

Thanks for that - I note they like potash - will give them a dose in the spring.

Just get a spade â€" don’t’ just snap them off â€" and carefully insert it between the main plant and the offset, and drive it down.

First time I`ve seen an Oz being subtle ;D

The suckers are as tough as old boots,dig ,hack them out and plant now if you like.
