Anchocha seeds for swap ( like peppers easy to grow)

Hi everyone, I have hundreds of Anchocha seeds for swap ( these are little green 'pepper' like creations from the cucumber family). You can eat them as babys in salads, fry them, etc..... Growing them is simple. Put them in moist compost in spring. By august, you will have them coming out of your ears. They need no special treatment apart from initial slug protection when seedlings. The vines look a bit like, well , a certain well known plant that is smoked as a recreational drug.... begins with an m.......

I had 3 seeds given to me by a member of allotments4all last year, and I had HUNDREDS OF FRUIT! and even more seeds...

I'm looking to swap for any unwanted seeds for next year (vege/fruit) or cuttings for my allotment. I will also give away if you have nothing to swap.

As someone said - the Incas knew what they were doing when they lost this one, it tastes (*&**&*& terrible. i grew it this year and ate one

I grew them this year too - and then couldn't fancy eating them - as they don't look very tempting!! Won't grow them again.

I grew them this year and fried like a green pepper I think they're lovely.

There were at least 4 people who grew them at our site who wouldnt eat them because they looked funny  :o

I might grow slightly less next year though as they are incredibly prolific.

I can trade you Achocha for another strain of Achocha if you wish, I also have seed for West Indian Gherkins (similar growing requirements) and Kiwano/jelly fruit/African horned cucumber (full packet and you are welcome to it - meant to be a 'gourmet' taste but to me it is bleugh!).

I've got some as well! I gave R-T his... the tiny ones are ok raw and the bigger ones are good cooked... and the leaves do look strangely familiar!!!
