The frost is what made all the leaves drop off and die.  Below is how they looked before.

They're very hot but I think particularly good looking when ripe.  Need early propagating or a better summer than this year's - they haven't turned red yet.

Had frost at the allotments, but none at home yet a couple of miles away!

I've just spent this afternoon clearing away limp pumpkin and courgette foliage, and bringing the final harvest under cover......the beds are now reasonably weed free but look so empty now..but only until my garlic and onions go in! ;D

My outdoor chillies look surprisingly OK, leaves still intact, the shed must give them a bit of shelter.
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

I cleared my peppers from the lottie last week in case of frost, as the ones nearest the door had started to rot (assume the cold got to them).  Frost yesterday and today here.  Not sure how my sweetpotatoes will have fared, but suspect I need to try and dig them up on Sunday  :'(
