Deb P

That is an awful lot of aubergines Tim, what will you do with that lot?
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

calendula

this is my last picking too - it's not been the best year for me with aubergines  :'(

sorry about quality it was taken with a phone!

Froglegs

What's the variety Tim. ???

Calendula - a GREAT photo!  What are the yellow things?

Froglegs -  Farmer's Long - replacement for Macchiaw. Although I try all sorts, I always grow the longs for earliness & meatiness. OK, you can't stuff them, but that no loss to me. Even outdoors in the Cotswolds they've been reliable.

Deb - grateful for those but, even though that's the 3rd or 4th pick, we're still short on average. Use? No problem - except my TIME - & JARS - had to buy some!!

1. Vegetable Moussaka for the veggie family influx this w/e.

2. Mamta's Aub Pickle.

3. Madhur's Aubs in the Pickling Style.

4. Aub Raita.

There won't be many left!!

calendula

thank you kind sir  :-*

the 'yellow things' are aubergine striped toga - actually bright orange with a greenish stripe and no bigger than 3 inches, almost like a tomato inside (same family of course)

they all got cooked together so cannot comment on individual flavour but I have just a few left and if they ripen will do a raw taste and let you know

you can check them out at Plants of Distinction - http://www.plantsofdistinction.co.uk

I'm all for trying any variety of aubergine, love them all

Froglegs

Thanks Tim will give them a try. Who do you get the seeds from?
