Sheepish Hi!!!

Hello  All

I've been rather quiet haven't I but between crisis at work, OH leaving and everything else...

My news is - I had to rehome the chooks as Mr Fox was becoming unstoppable.  I've done nothing on my allotment due to stresses at work and I don't plan on doing anything other than collecting my JA's when they are ready.  In the process of selling chicken coops etc, tools - everything really.

I am resigning from my job tomorrow as have been off sick now for too long and need to stop worrying about the place, its never going to change so easier to leave and get myself well again.

I'm hoping to move back to Australia in Feb/March time so slowly trying to sell my stuff and minimise a bit LOL... its amazing how much crap you can accumulate.  So as you can see its all been happening and I've missed you all!

So have i missed anything? Is there anything I should know?

So glad to see you posting again.  You really sound as if you have been through the ringer.  I truly am sorry you are having such a hard time.  SOmetimes when things are so bad at work its best to call it quits and start new.  I am sad to see that you are going back to Australia - is there no way that you could just rehome a bit closer - thereby making the move not so drastic and traumatising?  Sorry to hear about th chooks - I use to enjoy reading your posts.  I bet you miss them lots.

Have not missed much as the season has been good and bad - depending on who you talk to - what the blight hitting the potatoes and tomatoes of most people it has been a mixed season.  I personally have had a good season for SA corn, apples, pumpkins and swiss chard but the peppers, courgettes (yes, can you believe it!) have been dismal.  But then it seems like everyone on the forum has had similar results.

Otherwise welcome back and don't be a stranger.  This forum is always here and there is always a sympathetic ear around.

Ooo Jitterbug - no going back home is a good thing and I am very excited about it, so are the kids.

Weather was exceptional this year wasnt it - so much hard work and effort for very little... Oh well next year cant be sooo bad can it???

It will be interesting to see what I can grow in oz... and what varieties too!

Yep I've been through the ringer a lot more than I dare say to be honest but Chin is still up and I'm still able to smile - finally!  I have some other good news too but I can't share that for another week or two! ;-)

Hi OO,  I wish we could do something to make things better for you, but it sounds like you have got your head on right.

Last year I was going through quite a rough time and I left my OH and the kids (only because I couldn't take them with me where I went).  Fortunately things worked out again for us, but I could just as easily have chucked it all in and felt sorry for myself.

Keep in touch and remember, we are all just a forum post away!

OO can only echo what other members have said. Hope everything starts to be better for you. What part of Australia? I have 2 great nephews out there and my Nephew and Niece (their parents) will be moving out there when nephew retires in 3 years time. They live either side of Sydney. Good luck, how marvelous the Internet is. I am more in contact with my family than I have been for years.
