Cheap bedding flower seeds?

Does anyone know of any sites that sell flower seeds such as geranium/petunia/lobelia, etc, cheaply? A few years ago I tried buying them as plug plants but they were relatively expensive. Having acquired some small cell seed trays, I thought I'd be economical and try growing a lot from seed early next year, but looking online I've found them to be as expensive, if not more so, than buying plug plants... where is the logic in this? £3 for 10 geranium seeds? I know it depends on the variety, but most are pretty expensive for just a few seeds. Anyone who can suggest anything, thanks a lot! The garden could do with some care and attention.

Hi Rain, the cheapest supplier that I have found in recent years for seeds is a commercial supplier called Moles Seeds, they do supply in larger quantities though which may not be what you want but if you know others who would share then it's worth considering. Regarding Geranium Seeds they have this mix which only works out at about 75p for 10 seeds compared to the ones that you have found,

I totally agree with you Steve, they are also very cheap if you want strawberries and asparagus plants when compared to other suppliers.

Try your local Wyevale- seeds at 50p a packet (see thread in Bargains Galore)
