Yes, and normally I lie awake for hours as my brain thinks of every little nuance to do with the situation!!!  >:(

I wouldn't need the pen, but that flashing brolly looks rather dashing!

It's just that nuancing that I try to avoid - so that I can get to sleep again!

blimey Tim, how do you find these sites ... far too much time on your hands, surely that fsb (?) needs some attention  ;)

My OH bought me one of these for when I work nights.......I can't tell you times ( or wheres) I've nearly lost the plastic top to it..... :-[
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

When I did a creative writing course (I can write competently, was what my grade said), we were encouraged to keep a notebook and pen on the bedside table. One exercise was to write whatever was in your head when you woke up, as if trying to capture dreams onto paper.

Which reminds me, I haven't been doing much creative writing. That story I had in my head 2  years ago asking you lot for help in disposal of a body on the plot - lime, shredder, etc. still hasn't been written.
