fruit trees...?

Hi everyone.
i maybe hitting on a subject which has already been covered but can't seem to find much.
i'm trying to get a few fruit trees for the lottie, something a tiny bit difference like peach/nectarine, almonds, maybe kiwis? also they need to be either dwarf varieties or trees which are able to be kept small!
i was wondering if anybody can recommend a good supplier to me, don;t mind paying a bit extra if it's worth the difference.

Hi RosieMcPosie (great name!),

Try googling Ken Muir. Not especially cheap, but the trees I bought a couple of years ago have all thrived and fruit well. Does lots of the usual (apples, pears, plums etc) but also does the sort of trees you mention.

i have brought three trees from ken and their all great been planted now over three years and all fruit lots never had a bad crop yet. i did buy a peach tree from my local garden centre this year so cant wait to see how that does :)

just had a quick read and most seem to specify rootstock and/or growing size and vigour
however! I'm not sure if T&M are the cheapest though, and I know nothing about growing fruit!

Bought an Apricot this summer from Adrian Hall that is meant to survive outdoors. So far it's grown  like topsy (no fruit) but this winter will be the real test!

I had a kiwi. It is a voracious climber so unless you have the space, avoid this plant. Had mine for 5 years and it never fruited, got fed up and dug it out. Now I have a lovely clematis there instead. Another was a fig, this had dangerous roots which will break through drainage systems etc with ease, had fruit of it and they were lovely, but needs lots of water and didn't survive last summer in its pot.
