I went away for the weekend and when I came back on Monday my tomato plant which had been in a very moist greenhouse was covered by fungus ?  (Sorry no pictures at the moment).  Is this tomato blight ?
Was it because the greenhouse was very steamy ?

BTW I don't know what type of tomato it is because it just appeared in a pot and I never planted it.

Sounds more like mould than blight?

At this time of year, yuo're safer with the vents open all the time rather than shut.

It is the first time I have had a greenhouse it is a cheap small one and I just did not think about it.

It applies to expensive big ones as well!! If it's one thing or the other, better ventilate than not. After all, most things will grow outside.

And apart from steam, even with ventilation, it gets far too hot inside.
