Attachments

Bought new computer with Vista installed, when my office send me an attachment using MS Office ,I can`t open it  and a message appears, saying
`Set Associations Control Panel `--but where is this.
I don`t have MS Office installed, only MS Works shouldn`t  this open this attachment--any ideas please

From what I know about it, MS Office will deal with MS Works but while Works is a programme usually sufficient for most everyday functions, it is a much less sophisticated programme than Office and isn't 'powerful' enough for Office tasks.
I'm wondering what the attachment is....are we talking Email? If so, then it's not an Office or Works problem.

Had a problem with opening attachments on Windows XP went to www.updatex.com found the answaer there you should try it vista is covered as well good luck. Moonbeamt
