Hi, I know of this company, it is an interesting read but....her prices are very high 10 seeds fro $2.50,most of the seeds she sells are available in other US sites for that price for 30 seeds.

I have heard some talk on the US side that some of the tomato  seeds that she claims she is the only source for are available under different names,it may be idle gossip of course.

Of course I enjoy the comments about the Amish and especially the Mennonites , but I would like to point out that all Mennonites don't dirive a horse and buggy.

Well John and I don't anyway LOL, it might not go down well in Hull!!

She does have some good seeds and her one of shipping price to the  UK is fair .

I have many of the tomato seeds she sells which were bought elsewhere.

I love the look of some of those too, but Jeannine have you ever used this lot before? I note their minimum order is $100 though....

If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

I have, with great frustration. This is the US equivalent of our HDRA. I am  a member by the way.

I put a large order in to them this year  frankly to make high shipping worthwhile, and received very  little. They insisted that the UK will not allow import of toms and beans  which was most of my order, but no one gave me the chance to change that so I oaid dearly for the seeds they sent.

As I had just paid a $50 membership and sent alarge order to the  exchange I was not happy. I complained and they refunded all monies paid, including the membership and let it stand fot the year. They refunded in full the cost and postage of the seeds they did send.

This I found was very fair. I got a years free membership nad ac collection of seeds for free including the postage.

However not, they will not ship beans or tomatoes, they shipped all thr swuash seeds I bought though.

I would  not order again, there are too many places that ship cheap and with no restrictions.

I should add when Ilived in Cananda I had no problems with them shipping there and found them a great place to buy seeds

May I ask what you fancied from them?

Sorry for the typhos, my laptop is dying and most of the keys are sticking and it is picking up the wrong letter

I remember you posted about having problems with importing some seeds a while ago, good job I found out it was them!

I found them looking for suppliers of the ornamental corn, Japonica Striped Maize....long story, found it on a US eBay sellers site who was offering 'heritage' seeds, when I searched for any other suppliers, it looks like she gets most of her seeds from the Seedsavers site. She will ship to UK, charging about $1.45 for 10 seeds of some tomatoes.

Deb, be careful, there is a seller on ebay who sells 10 seeds to a pack that I have lots of trouble with. PM the name of the one you had,I have has lots of stuff from good dealers too but you need to very wary about this bad one. XX Jeannine

If you know anyone in the States, or anywhere else Seedsavers will ship to, you could get them to ship to their address, and arrange for them to be sent on.

i still think that http://www.graines-baumaux.fr/ is the biggest and best seed catalogue i have ever seen and i will be ordering from them at some point in the next 6 months.

tim

Yes.  Particularly like this one!!

But I'll still support the small English suppliers who satisfy all reasonable needs.
