Hey guys can anyone recommend what types of peas to grow? This year is the first time I have grown them and I planted Kelvedon Wonder. The only wonder is where are all the peas ! I've managed to get enough for two meals for the wife and I and thats it.

Any suggestions will be very welcome

we grew lincoln, long pods with at least 8, sometimes, 9 peas per pod, we actually managed to freeze 4 lbs..the early ones did well, the later ones less so, they've been affected by the weather, they may pick up if we get some sun  ;D

Hi
I grew onward which have been brilliant. Lots of sweet lush peas even when the sun refused to show for two months. Did great sown direct into my loam. first lot are just over now, but the later sowings are flowering and looking just as great.

I prefer Tall peas... mainly HSL varieties, Magnum Bonum and Ne Plus Ultra are great, Tall Telegraph has done well (from Real Seeds) Purple podded are great plants but not sweet enough for most people and a bit grey..

Kepouros

Alderman - a tall (5ft) variety maincrop. A 15ft row will nearly fill the freezer.
