Thinking of bathing in them as we have so many...don't suppose they are as good for your complextion as asses milk, but you have to make do with what you have!

10oz enorma

2Ib 6oz flat french - Gold something or the other

1Ib 3oz Beurre something or the other

2Ib 6oz Cordon Bleu

1Ib 12oz amythyst

What a wonderful harvest and you have just resolved my mystery bean. A fellow plotholder gave me some seeds last year and told me they were yellow beans, they look exactly like your Beurre.

Well, some went to my friend and neighbour as she had the children for a couple of hours whilst I went to the allotment.  They only buy frozen veg, so my fresh stuff is a delicacy and it gets her kids eating things they would never normally touch.  Some will be used over the next week, the rest are in the freezer already.  I find frenchies freeze very well. 

I do like the enorma beans Lorna.  To be honest, I love beans so any are fine with me.  I am now laying off picking the green beans as I want the pods to develop nice fat beans and dry for my winter supply.

Frenchies freeze beautifully.  We much prefer them to the runners, which we mostly give away as everyone seems to prefer them.  But our big fave are borlotti beans. I bought extra frenchies from Hilliers last year because the slugs ate most of mine, and they had been labelled wrongly and we had borlotti beans coming out of our ears, as I had grown two large crops of them.
