Did you  do anything to avoid the dreaded blight Rudd? If so, do tell. your toms look fantastic. Everyone on our plot has lost their tomatoes. and potatoes.

E.j. that is to much,my knowledge is just what experiance brought me.About the blight you can do not much,you can try to avoid it.I am searching for short season tomatoes.The pictures you have seen on this topic are all short season russian toms,except the greek one.The toms who got blight on my allotment were late season ones.

Can you freeze it and get it out in times of emergency, eg. February?

You can freeze it in.I always have some bottles in the freezer,you never know incase of electricity failure.

Do you find that any quality is lost by freezing? Is there a time limit on freezing the sunshine before it starts to go cloudy?

They do look good, Ruud, all green & healthy not a bit like mine.  I have got some early Russian plants too which are nearly ripe though riddled with blight I think they will just about make it.  I'm going to try some more short season ones next year too.

Repeated floods plus blight have done for mine this year. Still, there's always next year.
