Not sure of the appropriate place to put this, but I feel it is quite important to draw attention to it. I would like to say that I am not racist, I just think the money should be directed to more urgent causes. Muslims have managed up to now, I'm sure they can manage for a while longer or indeed self fund.

I wouldn't worry about it. It's a hoax, and the email has been doing the rounds for three or four months, probably courtesy of the NF.

According to my MP its not a hoax

Check press for Ken Livingstone. This is totally untrue.

Just done quick google, there is stuff about this mosque out there, times online have got a small article but that's the only unbiased thing I could find (quick search.)
I didn't want the blinkin' dome either but they still built that. It does seem apart from anything else a total utter waste of time. Muslims on the whole will be priced out of that area for housing, so it won't really be local to anyone once the olympics are over. Unless they are going to use it for some kind of muslim hq when the olympics are over it seems pointless. Muslim competitors and visitors will be able to access other mosques and attendance at mosque is not compulsary - hence the prayer mat.
British taxpayers will not foot all of the bill; donations will come in from all over the world. Mosques in other cities tend to be funded by muslim millionaires.
Oh, and it will apparently be another glass monster so not very mosquey either!
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

I think that you will find that although the Muslims want to build the mosque Red Ken is not intending to give them the money to build it, but the land to build it on.  Although the site is worth many millions, no actual money will change hands.

Anyway, the good citizens of London are only reaping what they sowed when they were daft enough to vote him in.  Teach them a lesson for next time!

I'll vote for the mosque. Most of the Christian places of worship are virtually empty. At least the mosques actually get used.
Also half of the people that attend the churches are just a bunch of hypocrites. They preach 'Love thy neighbour' etc etc when they really mean 'Love thy white Christian neighbour'
Just my opinion. Live and let live.

To use the phrase 'Live and let live', you have to live and let EVERYONE live, not just those you think are good enough to.

So Christian bashing isnt really letting them live.

I do beleive in 'live and let live'. I was  just criticizing the double standards that seem to be practiced by some Christians. No worries though. Think I'll stick to spuds in future.

Don't worry marky - Christians love a bit of a bashing - it helps them to feel persecuted & strengthens their faith. I think you're making a fair point, although I don't agree 100%, as I think all bigots should be challenged, whatever their chosen brand of bigotry is.

The majority of Christians (& probably Muslims & other faiths too) are genuine, loving and peaceful people. A few do things in the name of the rest, and the whole lot get tarred with the same brush.
