Sweetcorn question...

I love my little block of sweetcorn, it's by far the most exciting thing (for me anyway) I'm growing in this my first year. But, I have a question, they seem happy and have the little tassels on the sprouting cobs and the bit at the top is all fanned out and looks like it's ready to drop its bits of stuff at the slightest hint of wind so that’s all fine and dandy.... However, being the cynic and worrier I am I just wondered how I can tell if it's all working, if it’s pollinated ok. Is there some visual sign its all worked, or do I just have to trust it?

Can I make extra sure by taking some of the bits from the top and sprinkling them over the tassels on the cobs? Or am I going a bit far and should I assume nature knows what its doing?

I worry too much.... lol ;)

As Robert say patience is required but if you must do something just give the stems a little shake to simulate wind.
