Hi all

Was on lottie yesterday, all appeared fine. Was there again today, and 3 tom plants are definitely infected with blight... I guess it must've been there yesterday but wasn't bad enough to notice.

So, off down there with a bin bag as soon as the rain abates and then a good coating of Bordeaux. Or maybe even Dithane (sp?).

Just thought I'd let people know to keep an eye out - we've only had one "full" Smith period & a couple of near misses - I've never seen it this early.

Agree - it's been a funny year. I don't normally spray tomatoes until mid-July, but it was more like mid-June this year.

OllieC .. I am in Sunningdale - not too far away from you.

Spotted first signs of blight on maincrop potatoes on Thursday and this morning (Saturday) approx. 6 (out of 24) tomato plants each with one leaf showing the initial sign of blight.

Sprayed toms with bordeaux mixture 3 or 4 days ago.
