garlic

When do you all lift your garlic.I put some in that I got from the greengrocers.(this was after I found out that you shouldn't do this as it isn't always virus free) It was chinese garlic. I have taken one up and although it has rust on the leaves the bulbs look quite good. I took the flowrs off about a month ago.

Last year I lifted mine at the beggining of July - same time as the Jap Onion Sets.
(once the tops had all died down)

I am very disappointed to come back after 18 days away and find mine consumed with rust. A sample bulb is not a bad size, but do they grow any more when they have absolutely no green leaves? Should I just dig them all up?
