Mine pushed in quite easily, but then the earth was quite soft after the rain. I built it first, then gently persuaded one leg at a time on one side by pressing on the bottom  cross bar first on side, then the other-not in the middle as I did this and it bent ::), doing a bit each side 'til it looks even.

Hmmm, methinks OH has been a little heavy handed in our case........I might have to water the ground first too to give it a helping hand! ::)
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

I didn't have any trouble sinking mine into the soil, about 8-10" in with some very gentle taps with a mallet on the ends of the horizontal struts.

I've secured it on each side with wire to a trellis fence each side of the gate.  It gets very windy up here so it needs to be secure.

I'm growing a red kuri hopefully, first time squash grower so it's all very exciting.  I don't really know what to expect so I'm ready with netting, twine or whatever is required when the time comes.  Just waiting for the squash to start on it's march towards the arch.  It looks nice and healthy and is looking in the right direction but making no effort to move.  Maybe the soaking it's had this evening from the downpour we've just had will do the trick.  Certainly had plenty of sun lately.

I must be more patient ::)
