Cherry Tree

I want to buy a Cherry tree,but not sure what to buy  ???
Are there good or bad varieties  ??? any advice will be appreciated.

we've got a 'ballerina' type stella, the tree's covered with fruit this year, they taste lovely..they are early flowering though, so we cover it with fleece to protect the blossom  :)
oh, by the way, it's self fertile

I have a self fertile one called Inga-it was a toss up between Stella and the one I chose-I once had a girlfriend called Ingrid-not the most scientific reason but it`s sweet and like Ingrid others get/got to the fruit first-shame I didn`t wrap her in fleece in 1968?
