Are all Mesembryanthemum types edible?

I've planted Mesembryanthemum Crstallinum (ice plant, salt herb) from seed. When they started sprouting, the plants turned out to resemble my midday flowers (Mesembryanthemum spp., according to THAT seed packet) a whole lot.

Does anyone know whether the midday flowers are edible, too? The midday flower leaves are a little smaller, otherwise, there's NO difference - and I've actually found that midday flower is one of the names for the common ice plant...

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_Plant it is no longer classed as a Mesembryanthemum and its biological name is now Carpobrotus edulis.
