Aubergine leaves have brown blemishes

I've put my tiny aubergine plants out in a trough, under a plastic polytunnel. The polytunnel seems so large compared to the plants, but so far they've been holding out well in the relatively warm conditions.

The strange thing is, some of these plants have been developing light brown blemishes on their leaves. Anyone know what this is??

The aub plants I've kept in the cold frame are free of these spots and blemishes.

It could be one of a number of things:

Aubergines can get blight, particularly if they are planted where spuds were planted last year.

Or it could be something a bit more innocent - have you spashed water on the leaves when watering?  With the hot weather we have been having this could have caused some scorching of the leaves.

Bit early for blight, normally strikes here in August, and to be honest have always had blight on tomatoes and occasionally potato, but never aubergines. Sun scorch is my guess. Put a bit of netting between them and the light to diffuse the light while they are young.

It's far too early for blight, and we've had none of the warm damp weather it flourishes in. Most likely just a bit of scorch, so don't worry too much, but keep them out of the full glare.
