Help! Having had seemingly endless seedlings executed by slugs, I ended up putting them in a cold frame filled with wood ash. And thought I'd solved the problem of the disappearing plants.
Got to the plot today to find more seedlings looking sad and lots of woodlice.
I also seem to find loads of the crawling ones when I dig up weeds. Or all the onions and garlic which bolted due to the weather.

Does anyone know of an organic woodlouse decimator?

seems a shame to decimate them! They apparently like to eat dead stuff, and are only damaging your seedings by accident, so maybe there's a way of taking seedings off the ground a little, so the woodlice will frolic while leaving the seedlings in peace?
