too eager for spuds

i have got some rocket potatoes planted in a planter that you can lift the sides up to see if the potatoes are ready. This morning i had flowers on them so being very eager too look i had a root around and felt what i thought was the newly grown spuds. i pulled it out only to find it was the actual seed potato.
oh dear will the other new potatoes just keep growing now there forming or not?
it was only 1 seed potato so not too bothered.
