Saggy lupins.

I grew a lupin from a mixed bag of seeds last year. it was very floppy, so I supported it with a short cane, but then the top flopped over when it was too tall, and I didnt notice. This year, it is strong and flowering, but bent over.

Can I give it a radical prune when it finishes flowering, or do I have to live with a wonky lupin?

Well cj, yes you can give your lupin a radical pruning when it has flowered, to encourage a second flush.

The questions I would ask are, do you like the colour etc of the flower?  Is the flower something you would like to keep?

If the answer to both is no, then I would sling it!!
