Grandma

So do I, Eric  :) Is yours growing outside - (I see chives in the background)? I've always thought of them as indoor plants! Love to have some in the garden!

Palustris

Hardy as they come and it is not actually chives in the background, but same family. I think(!!!!!) the Allium is A. saxatile, but it may not be.

Gardengirl

That is a beauty Eric :) I have never heard of it. Would love some, what sort of soil to they require and are they clump forming :-\
Happy gardening all...........Pat

Palustris

Fairly common and as long as it is well drained they do not seem fussy about soil. They do like a bit of sunshine though. I have a feeling they are sold as dried roots in Wilkinson's.

Lady Cosmos

They are beautiful and they flower very early. Here they are in bloom between June and July. It is possible  also to grow them from seed.
