My one ripened strawberry will be picked and put to the test by the OH, she will be blindfolded and take the taste test, shop against Kev's one solitary  special strawberry. I will be back later with the results.  ;D ;D ;D

Give her two from the shop and I bet she still says one of them is yours. (You could then eat your own yourself.) ;D ;D ;D

Excellent - the proof is in the eating. Long live lottie food.  ;D
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

ha ha ha well today I could actually pick my first BOWL of lottie strawbs! resisted the temptation to eat any but the smell....mmmm gorgeous. No doubt my lot will just wolf them down without a word  ::)
But fresh picked strawbs are heaven!!! no doubt about it. They list with that small extremely red tomaty that was hiding from you for weeks and is absolutely bursting with sweet juice, the inner leaves of those new lettuces from the early summer and a sweet skinny green bean that you pick and pop straight in the gob. yum yum yum
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com
