Hello :)

I have lods of tomato plants in my greenhouse. Two of them seem to be shrivelling up and dying, like they have no water, but they have.

Should I get them out quick incase they have something nasty, or are they just having a bad day?

Thanks

are they root bound by any chance ....
maybe run out of nutrients if they are growing well  ....
are the leaf edges turning dark (Blackish) or overall yellowy (is there such a word  ;))

have you got a Beastie in there ....
knock em out of pot and have a poke around in the rootball.

for safety's sake I would move them well away from your other Toms until someone knowledgeable comes along with better advice

are they both the same variety and/or are the others looking o.k. ?

Scrape the soil away from the base of the plant to above the root and see if they have stem rot

Sounds to me like they are destined for the Great Compost Bin in the sky-it happens.

As mentioned it could well be stem rot-if they were a very precious variety there are ways of keeping them going but it`s a faff

The toms are just a few moneymakers that I was given by someone on the lottie. I didnt want to offend him, so I took them. They are both this type.

The leaves are a bit yellow, with some brownish spots on them.

I'll bung them in the compost tomorrow then.

Thanks for all the advice.

Caroline. Personally i think that is bad practice putting it onto your compost heap. If the plant is diseased you are introducing that disease to your compost. You should dispose of them in another way
