For KATHI -pinching out tomatoes.

I hope that you can see from this -

Upwards from the bottom - 6 sideshoots - then a flower truss on the same side as the last sideshoot but the opposite side to the next leaf frond - followed by another frond & then the leader.

So, make sure you always have a flower truss above the sideshoot that you want to pinch out.

Had to wait until now to get the first flower truss.

Glad you mentioned that! Oh for a fireproof reply!!

No - I would have pinched out all those shoots days ago, knowing that a flower shoot would come along!! But I left them to show the progression.

It is only at this stage that you might be in doubt - as things mature, it becomes very obvious.

I've got it now, I shall have to go out and look at my tomatoes tomorrow, it's too cold now to do it

I should have added that, of course, at this stage, it mattered not leaving the shoots on for a while. Too small to affect growth of the plant.
