Hello Marg,
I'm trying them for the first year this year. What is the flesh like? I was wondering if it is a bit watery.

Can be but easily drained, not boiling it can help...
Microwave or bake in oven both work...
;D

Will it still be like spaghetti inside if I bake or microwave it then?

Sorry if thats a stupid question ???

Yes... if you microwave it cut it in half and scoop out the seeds first, if baking pierce skin in several places and wrap in foil... you then have the joy of handling it red hot!

I just know someone is going to contradict me but....I think it is  THE worst squash I have had, watery, bland, stringy of course, nothing like spaghetti, and compared to other winter squashes it is a very poor keeper.

Sorry, there is no way |I would waste space on it, and I have tried 4 different kinds of spaghetti squash as they have 'improved' them over the years..no difference to me,a real loser.

Come on spaghetti squash lovers, blast me XXX Jeannine

I treated it as a summer squash one year, and it was OK, but none of them is very inspiring. As a winter squash, it's a waste of space. I'm just growing butternuts and pumpkins this year.
