I'm starting a new thread as very few people responded to my request for a "roll call" in the other thread. So far the only people who have committed themselves are:

Me & Tadpole
Marestail murderer & family
Deb P
Lillypad (later in the day)

I'm wondering whether we should put it off to later in the year (September time?)
Can peeps let me know what they think, either way, please, and quickly!

I really want to come but This weekend is out for me, short notice sorry...
:-[
My September is already very busy, second NGS day on the 2nd and Eco-fest in Derby 8th/9th...
::)

Thanks for letting me know, David.Thought August would be a non-starter with holidays etc , that's why I suggested September, but there are some lovely colours in Autumn so October would be good too!

grawrc

I'm afraid that having initially been completely committed to coming I find myself overtaken by events and have to be here at that time. Quite disappointed but hopefully I'll get to the next one.

natasha

I'm affraid I have to say no too, after all this rain my plot is a mess of dead plants and ovegrown weeds, I need to tidy up.

im still game.........and will be there.................i need the day out so ill meet anyone who does go.....and next time ill meet more........lol

OliveOil

back to work in september - sorry

Lillypad

I won't be there before 2.15ish, even if I come straight from work. To be honest, if the weather is as appalling as the forecasters are threatening, I won't be there at all. I hate rain!

So, so sorry - I was looking forward to seeing everyone and visiting the garden but I cannot make it.
I  hope that I can manage the next meet
Have a great day 8)

Marymary

I'm afraid I won't be able to make it either - life has got a bit complicated here with holidays & things.  Do hope you all have a really good time & that the weather is as good as it was for Barnsdale.  :)

OK, the words "flogging" and "dead horse" come to mind! Paul and I will be there at 10.30 come rain or shine and will meet anyone who can make it in the entrance. Marestail, I will PM you with my mobile number in case we have trouble finding each other or you decide not to bother. Deb P, are you still planning to come?

Sorry I can't make it now either. I have to confess I'd completely forgotten about it and so have made other plans!  Hope you all have a lovely day there, it looked lovely at the end of June when I last visited.

Deb P

Sorry, I've been on nights last night and have only just got up....full of cold!
Looks like I am doomed too, sorry Caroline, I think I'll have to pass as well....I'm back off to bed :'(
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Thanks for letting us know, Deb- hope you're soon feeling better!

caroline7758

Well, it's mission aborted, I'm afraid! the three of us who were determined to get there today came to our senses this morning when it was pouring with rain again! Needless to say, it has now stopped, but Ithink it would have been pretty wet underfoot. If we ever get some summer weather, we'll try again. :(

saddad

I'll look forward to it... hav you got pods on the Achocha?
;D

caroline7758

Just been out to check- got TINY flowers but no pods, and realised that I've left it to trail down onto the floor and the slugs have been at the leaves that were touching the floor. Not sure what to do for the best as I haven't got room to stand it on the floor and support it.
