At long last I hopefully will post a photo of my pond at the allotment. 

Today is the first time I have been able to take the netting off since my friend fell into the pond.

Remember 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' :D

Hi Chloe, you need to put a square bracket in front of the first "IMG" for us to be able to see your pond.

Mrs Pinks, your pond is really looking great now.  Is that a gunnera behind it in the second photo?

Yes Jill thats my Gertie Gunnera, contined in the bog garden area.....................I hope! :-\ ;D  released her from a pot and off she went! ;D

Love the gunnera, Mrs P.  Want one but don't have the room so am going with a rheum instead.

Here's our newly built pond (and new lawn to the right).  So pleased that after five years of wishing/hoping/planning it's finally built.  Plants and solar fountain on order.  More piccies to follow when pond and borders are planted up.

In our old house I had the gunnera planted in a big pot sunk into the ground, it still looked great, even though it was contained!
I can see one right by your pond......................woud look lovely with the rhuem! ;D ;)

Poor entry this...

Have 2 ponds. one is solely a wildflife pond which is very overgrown already as you can see - (couldn't get a better angle due to washing hung out!). Probelm with this is it leaks badly. Needs topping up daily with a hosepipe - more than once! I am guessin gthe roots of some plants have punctured the liner somewhere so needs addressing at some point.

Second one was a fish pond but they passed away shorlty after we moved in - since then frogs (200+ when it was cleaned) and a sole newt are residents. Theres a waterfall constructiuon that runs into it.
Looks sparse no plants etc yet. ANy suggestions?
Probably get some type of fish maybe tench at some point. Would like to build a low wall around it in yorks stone to stop all the debris blowing into it (leaving a gap at far right hand corner for frog exit of course)

Long term plan is to hopefully link them via a sloping stream once top wildlife pond fixed (suppose the plastic type stream moulds you can get) with water pumped back into ther top one, and have one of those wooden bridges over it where thepath runs.. Any constructive comments welcome... :)
