Told you so !!! ;D  ;D  ;D

Rhubarb Thrasher : the pub is a really olde world pub - no fancy bits - in fact a bit run down and shady....but still standing.

notice you said "olde worlde" and not "olde worlde charm(e)". Kind of place where you ask for a side salad, and they give you a plate of cold chips. i'll certainly pop in in the summer

Well the Red Parcel has landed safely and what a seedy frenzy I had.  What a lovely variety of seeds to choose from.

Jeannine - many thanks for all your hard work in making this such a special parcel and to everyone else who has been so generous with all their different seeds.  I personally am able to try out seeds that I would not be able to buy myself and would be too scared to buy a whole packet.  So keep up the good work everyone.

Next stop LB, somewhere in East India, C???? ;D

I will strap it up tightly and send it on its way tomorrow afternoon 1st class.

Me, me, me  ;D ;D  That's made my morning Jitterbug - and Jeannine  :-* for organising everything!
I'm off to sort me seeds, ready for a quick turnround. I'm experimenting this year with some turnips that taste like melon, and apparently you can eat them raw - like an apple! - or grate them into salad etc, so I'll def. put some of them in cos it would be good to be able to compare notes with someone later on.  Yep - I'm in seed mode now, and have to go sort stuff ...  as soon as I've finished browsing A4A  ;D

CityChick

Oooooo, is that a turnip called oasis?  I've got some of those...  hope they live up to expectations :D

Rhubarb Thrasher

better than a melon that tastes like a turnip....

could whoever's got the red parcel tell me what variety the red onion seeds were, please. I took a few to try, and threw away the packet after I sowed them  ???

RT

Jeannine

If they were the ones I started the parcel with they were Franchis Rossa Tonda

RT, that's probably what I'll be growing in the coldframe then  ;D

Citychick - yep, Oasis - I got it cos it sounded intriguing so it'll be interesting to compare notes later on.

The postman didn't bring it  :'(    I now want to spend the rest of the day pottering with me pots and keeping an eye out for a red delivery van, and my son wants me to take him to see the Mr Bean film  :P What to do, what to do ...... (And it's a bit ironic that the film is Mr Bean  ;D)

Jeannine

Oh, and the blue have theirs, but going out on Monday so you are almost equal XX Jeannine

Parcel waiting for me when I got home  :) - and my appetite for seeds may now actually be sated (well, temporarily  ;D ;D)  Like a kid at the lucky dip I was  ::)  ;D

Took some out - put some in -  so it's quite a sizeable parcel moving on (tomorrow am, hopefully) to a gal with a very appropriate surname  ;D

Jeannine - many thanks for organising this (and it is very well organised) - have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Jeannine

That puts you back in the lead again.. come on Blues  XXX Jeannine
