Hello,

I am growing veggies in containers for the first time this year.  What size containers would people recommend for the following:

Spring Onions
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Radishes
Coriander
Rocket

Thanks

Others will know better ,but i grow most of the above in pots too
medium size,10 inches  and above ,nothing too small, only that it dries
out quicker . I only grew rocket once it has since seeded everywhere!

I don't grow in pots but if I were I would do the following;

Spring Onions; Min 5" diam and make successional sowings every two or three weeks.

Lettuce; I would grow and come again varieties 1-2 to an 8" diameter pot

Tomatoes; Min 8" diam and one per pot

Radishes; Min 5" diam and make successional sowings every two or three weeks.

Coriander; one per 6"-8" diameter pot

Rocket; 6"-8" diam and make successional sowings every two or three weeks.

we grow things like lettuce, radish and spring onions in flower troughs, about 8" deep, they don't need too wide a container,
toms go outside in the famous morrison's 8 for 99p buckets,
coriander and rocket, I suppose the same as the lettuce..we let the rocket go to seed for seeds and hoverflies..never grow rocket, it goes to seed too quickly, doing something wrong, I suppose..we go for oriental veggie mix for stir fries  ;D
