Half of the above plus one of my favorites
Seeds of Italy
also Thomas Etty esq  is a good read

Jeannine

Well Potterfanpete, you must have more seeds than the rest of us put together with all those to choose from.  Do you have a  great big list of swoppsies ready.Whatcom County is online, you get the catalogue free if you have bought from them the previous year.

Thank you for info on Seeds of Italy I had for gotten that one and the other one I will look into.

Wow, am getting moaned at for the ones that I have, not even half the amount that you guys have!

Will have to do some catching up! ;D
Smile at your enemies.

It makes them wonder what you are up to.

Jeannine, if I were going to send someone some seeds (if they were in the same coumntry as me), would I just have to put the seeds in a bubble package and put a stamp on them?

Marymary

I'm also on about half the above amount & also get moaned at for the number of them lying about.  Thing is it troubles me the amount of paper being used & also the plastic wrappers which can't be recycled in this area.  Also the postage which must add substantially to the cost of the actual seeds/plants.  I get sent catalogues from suttons & T&M etc virtually ever week and any ordering I do is online - I know they are lovely to look through & to plan but there does seem to be a lot of scarce resources going to waste.

also, some come with magazines we buy..I've started leaving them in the shop  :)

Pete it depends on the seeds - you can just send them in a normal envelope - although i did receive one today and it was torn and RM had put it in a placcy bag... not sure if any contents did go missing yet... but generally pop them in an envelope or a jiffy bag is fine.

waw - its easier than I thought. I though that because of the new posting regulations, you have to get it waid and buy a stamp and then add on money for the weight - so basically, you just post it like a letter?

Hi Mary Mary I totally agree with you about the paper thing,I send for a catalogue because I am sincerely interested in a company's wares but it does rather open the door for tons of them.I do feel that one a season is all that is needed, most are like that but sadly many are not. I bought some underwear from an online source a couple of years ago,I found out later they have 26 different company names all belonging to the same group,I get them constantly now and often get repeats in the same season.Tons of glossy paper in plastic bags. Catalogues I have never requested or bought from.

I do keep my seed catalogues as I find them a valuable source on info even years down the line, but 5 year old underwear  books ..I don't think so.
