I know I have asked before but can't find it now. How do I do it? Last night I put seeds on damp kitchen paper and put on the fish tank as its warm. As paper was dry this morning I have wet again is this right??

Yes to your question, but there is no need to put them somewhere warm, room temperature will do.

It is the bottom heat that is drying the paper! had they germinated then the chances are you would have lost them!

To assist try this; put the paper on top of some sand or compost and this will keep the paper from drying out so quickly.

It means you can put more water in the sand bed rather than having the paper sat in water.

If you have the seed available try re-wetting the ones you have sown and also start another batch.

Between them both you might get sufficient for a good crop!

Incidently lay them out in lines this way you can cut the paper into strips after germination making it easier to lay them out in a drill outdoors
