When we moved here nearly 14 years ago the garden was a mess(well it still is) there was a row of youngish beech trees.

We had all but one removed. The remaining one is now a monster in need of some serious surgery.

The tree bloke has been and says we need planning permission to have it tamed-I trust him totaly.

Listed buildings are fine but this is a bit peeving-it`s not like it has a Tree Preservation Order.

By the time we get permission it might be a bit late for serious cutting back >:(

call either your local parish clerk or your local council planning officer.
you should get a quick verbal

Thanks for the advice Cambourne-Mr tree bloke is doing that for us. I know this pile is listed,I know we are in a conservation area but the ruddy tree is set back so far from the road one would need a cherry picker to see it.

Hey ho-he has to cover his back just in case. It`s his living so it`s fair enough to be sure.

best to be safe than sorry :-)
