What are you growing this year that you've never tried before?

Maybe if anyone's grown a variety before that's mentioned on this thread they could give tips to the people trying it for the 1st time this year?

Here's my list:

Globe artichokes
Sea-kale
Tayberries
Atlantic Giant pumpkins
Mooli
Endive salad thingies


I'll think of a few more when I've been through my seed collection  ;D

Somebody did this earlier on.

I grew an Atlantic giant pumpkin last year in my garden, but it didn't do particularly well, because of the dry and then wet weather. It came out a rather bizarre conical shape.
The stem was destroyed by something too, probably my cats when they were digging after a poo.
