Mum is after one.  She has looked in Argos and Lakeland and they are all a bit big for her needs.  Anyone have any recommendations?  I know bigger is usually better, but mum is on her own and if she has company, she cooks from scratch without the need of a slow cooker.  She wants one for when she is out at work.  Ta everso.

Tell your Mum they are not as convenient as she may think.  The food to be cooked has to be heated first you can't just put it in the cooker when you haveplugged it in.  I prefer to start things in my big shallow pan, braised steak - whatever, and then put the cooker on very very low.

She ended up getting the one from Lakeland, and she is loving it.  Thanks for your help chaps.

Glad she got one EJ.  I am sure it will be lovely for her to come in to a ready cooked meal rather than starting from scratch in the evening.  I remember my sister having one when she was in her bedsit and how much she loved coming in to her meal cooked, especially on these cold winter's nights... :)

It is that lovely smell tulippa, when you open the door after being out all day, and you can smell that lovely warming aroma of delicious cooking.  YUM!  She made a chicken and mushroom dish the other day, and I think she is doing a hotpot type thing for tomoz.  Lovely.  ;D
