Ate the GAs you sent me. Cooked them in their skins and squeezed them out. God they are probably the most yukky tasting food ever to be created!. Sorry SS but they definitely wont be getting planted in my lottie. Never in a million years. Not now not ever ever ever ever ever...   you know what I mean. Not for me I'm afraid. :-X :-X

Thankyou all the same. At least I can say I have tried them.

Guess JAs are a bit like marmite - love em or hate em, and never the twain shall meet!

good on you for trying them, now you can speak from experience ;D

I'm tagging onto this to thank SS for the JAs that arrived yesterday, and thank goodness the frost has nearly gone and I can soon plant them out. They are admirably smooth and non-knobbly, and there is something rather fascinating about electronic messages becoming transformed into a real life fat envelope full of artichokes and horticultural advice. Thanks very much.

Must admit I don't like JAs in any form other than liquidised in soup. Made me gag as  child, and don't like the slimy texture to this day. But they give a wonderful flavour and thickening to soup, and make good hedges round bins, compost heaps etc at the same time.

You're welcome artichoke :) glad they've found a new loving home.
It's certainly a very smooth and prolific Fuseau, first via jennym to me to you ... and where next? ::)

Mrs Ava

Yup, thanks SS, mine arrived the other morning - sorry I haven't let you know sooner, I haven't been around much.  I am looking forward to getting them in . Your babies will be retrieved this week and posted to you.  Sorry for the delay - life is a minestrone at the moment..... :-\
