Is it possible to successfully grow a wisteria in a pot? I would love to have one on the front of our house(east facing), but there is no garden to put it in. I have had wisteria before, but only grown them in the ground. Our new house is sweet, but needs something to soften the edges!

Such a big plant to put in a pot! I expect without the freedom to stretch its roots it will not come to much. If you have room for the pot you should have room for a hole to put it in, get an angle grinder and cut a hole in your path.  With the right training upwards it will then do its job.

If the plant has to go in a pot something like a clemetis would do much better as many of these are happy in pots.  I can sympathise with you wanting a wisteria, they are my favourite climber!
