My local Lidl (Gosport, Hants) had a big rack of flower, salad and vegetable seeds, small packets at 29p and large at 49p.

They seemed to have most popular seeds.

And it's very windy down here on the south coast!!

plot76. I very seldom shop at lidl but daughter came in today and told me about the seeds.  I have plenty of flower seeds ( due to the kindness of members on A4A) but I have asked Vickie to get me some veg and salad seeds. I want to try just a few veg in containers this year. Last year carrots and beetroot were a disaster but going to try again. I just looooove raw carrots. Only have small area for veg.

I sometimes pick up Lidl seeds, and I have always had great germination from them - especially the yellow wax beans!  ;D

We tried the yellow beans last year - bumper crops, and very successful leeks and parsley too. -although no idea what variety the leeks were! Bargain price and tasted good. The leeks are still going strong. :) I shall be heading down to Lidl again. Thanks for letting us know they are back in.
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. (Douglas Adams 1952 - 2001)

Their Harzfeuer tomatoes are great. I've been growing them successfully outside for the past few years. I like them for their yield, flavour and the fact that they all grow on long trusses in one direction which makes them easy to harvest.
