what's eaten my garlic?

something has eaten the top half of some of my garlics! Definately looks chewed off- what do you think would do this? rabbits? surely not birds?

Maybe whatever has eaten it, had problems with vampires

I seem to remember someone saying rabbits had eaten their leeks...or was it garlics....a while back.  For some reason Ina's name springs to mind.  I can't imagine pigeons would be the culprits, especially as we have a big pigeon problem and they haven't touched any of my brassicas.
