Christmas party hiccups

I have spent the last 4 months organising a christmas ball for 150 guests. All the men in uniform and medals, ladies in ball gowns for tomorrow. Went to thorntons to pick up 75boxes of luxury chocolates for the ladies today. Order aint done! They said they thought I would confirm numbers. Till I pointed out in their order book where it was written down from when I went in last month.

Will now have extra running round tomorrow prior to the evenings entertainment. Could do without it. But have no other choice. At £2 for '4' luxury chocolates you would have thought they'd have remembered. At that price how could I forget.... :(

Why am I not surprised!!!!  Being a grumpy (old) woman I wouldn't trust multi national companies to do anything right.  Hope they manage to get the order made up later today for you.   Order??? what Order?

Just picked them up now - also got 7 freebie boxes - wouldnt take the works cheques mad out to Thorntons due to it being private franchise. Paid out my own pocket £140, but wont get a refund from work till January now.  :(
