Don't mean to brag but take a look at mine that DH knocked together in an afternoon.   ;D ;DA visit to the tip a £5 door and some spare pallets and voila - one very good looking cold frame.  Which I might add it already full to the brim with plants.  Mmmh! Wonder if DH will make me another one ??? :-[

PS Don't look at the weeds behind me - that's a work in progress.

Very impressive! My dad's agreed to build us one when we get going but he'll have to go some to beat that beauty! Well done! kitten x

WOW I love it and I want one! Don't you just love things made from reclaimed items like that. It looks great and I'm sure will be VERY much loved and used.

Just a spoil sport question: will the door survive for long in the weather, or did you specially get a hardwood one? I would love to make something like that.

Thanks so much for all the lovely comments.  I will show DH and definitely its double helpings of beer!!  ;D  I am not sure what wood the door is made out of but it is real HEAVY so I do not think that it is a cheap pine or anything.  So I think that I will just varnish it occasionally with clear wood preservative.  He also made me some really nice compost bins (never thought that I would be waxing lyrically about compost heaps - but there you are) but I lost all the photos of the before and after pics of my lottie when my computer crashed.  :'( But I am aiming to take some more and I will post.

Tim: only the best for my lottie you know.  As I could not beat your food picture had to do something to compete!! ;D
