CorelDraw x3 v13

I needed a logo in a vector file for a printing firm so  i downloaded the free trail version of the new software to create it ( thought i could pull a fast one  ;))
problem is the printing firm can not open the file i sent them, they are using corelDraw Version 12.
Anybody know is it a case because i am using the trail version i cannot export files or is it that as it was created on V13 it is not backwards compatible ?????   ???

can you not use save as to save as an older version or a different file type.

looking at the limitations of the trial version they only say it is limited via time use
