HI

At work they have removed the bike racks and puting in a smart new one with a corrugated plastic roof.

I have just pulled the off cuts of corrugated plastic out of the skip (with permission  ;D) into the car there all foulded up but they came of very large sheets so some are quite big.

On saturday i am going to lay them out and take measurements.

What can i uses them on in my plot - i am hoping i can make covers for my raised beds to let me get things started early spring?

That's what we always used to use - 4' lengths held in 2 arched wires.

yes tim that was what i was thinking about except i was going for more of a square :-) made from wood so i could interchange the plastic with netting without 2 much fuss.

Having thought about it last night as the peices are long but not amazingly wide ( some 2 foot some more and some have jagged edges ) that i would trim them to various rectangles which would allow me to interchange them either on the raised beds in a mini coldframe type structure ( thanks saddad) or as a cloche ( thanks alishka_maxwell ). And use cable ties to hold them in place??

I cant wait to get them laid out and measured tomorrow.

I am not going to take them up to the lotty till early next year as if the shed is broken into they might throw this out and i will lose them. And i can then fiddle with them in the garage which is less windy than the allotment and more room than my shed :-)
