Blighted potatoes

I was told by my neighbour that I had blight .  I cut down the affected ones to ground level when he told me, but after that others did turn black/yellow and die so I have to believe him

You have probably all dealt with this problem by now.  Unfortunately until now I haven't had a lot of time to spend at the lottie this summer so I have just had the great job of digging up loads of potatoes and throwing 70% away because of slug damage.  (All that effort planting them! :'()

What I would like to know is if it is ok to eat the ones that the slugs didn't get if they have had blight. 

And are the slug damaged ones ok to put in my compost bin or should I put in the household garden recycling bin - if not, what else do you do with them? ::)

I recycle/brown bin badly slugged ones but try to get as much out of them as possible...

You can eat the blighted spuds. if you find any with symptoms of rot, burn them; that's how the disease overwinters.
