I'm pleased to report that the flowers are continuing to bloom in the garden.  They were certainly grateful for a couple of rainy days earlier in the week.

This is a bit of the patio.

Georgie. Well what can I say?  So many different plants and the colours are wonderful.. I kept thinking..Oh I like that, next photo, oh I like that. Have you ever counted how many pots you have :)? Love the hanging basket.Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Lorna.  I tried counting the pots last year but lost the will to live when I reached 150!  And if there is anything there that really takes your fancy let me how and I'll happily pass on seeds/cuttings if I can.   :)

Agastache are really good value - do they have a smell to the leaves?

Agghh - tis the lady of the locks back from her hols.   ;D  Toad Lily is Tricyrtis, a sweet little plant which likes the shade and flowers August to October.  The Agastche is a favourite with the bees and the leaves smell of aniseed.   ;D

Georgie. What I would like is a list of what is planted in your winter basket and did you plant them straight in to the basket? If so when did you plant up? I have never had winter baskets but would love to try. Too late this year but a must for next year for me.. I really do like that basket.

Oops, confession time.  I bought the hanging basket ready made from my local nursey for what I consider to be a bargain price of £9.99.  But all the plants were available to buy and it consists of:  1 x Euonymous (not sure which type), 3 x trailing violas and 3 x Lysimachia nummularia (creeping jenny).  I'm not usually a fan of hanging baskets but I just couldn't resist this one.   ;D

Super photos and super plants.  Can you give me some advice, I have Liriope muscari but the flowers spikes always remain well down in the foliage.  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, Shirley.  :)  I bought my Liriope last year and it was very disappointing, suffering from very unimpressive flowers as you describe and lots of snail damage.  It was in ericaceous compost and shade as required but I made the mistake of watering it with tap water.  It should be watered with rain water, or failing that boiled water, and I resolved the snail problem by top dressing the pot with a mixture of coffee grounds and egg shells.  So I think it just needs time to settle and the right conditions.  Good luck.   :)
