Our second lot of sweetcorn are growing away merrily but not producing any cobs yet (goat got in and ate the first lot we'd sown  :-\ )

Do they have the male flowers at the tops of the plants yet? If so, cobs will soon follow.

The badgers have eaten ALL my sweetcorn. This was my treat,asI am the only one in the family who eats it!

Where in Kent are you Crusher, none are near ripe my way, not in the fields nor the allotment. Which cultivar have you grown?

school boy error, did not keep a log of what cultivar it was... note to self, lesson learnt, write down all details of all plants etc next time round..
